Notice:  Sixty-eight Legionnaires have not paid their FY19 annual dues. If not paid by December 2020, they will be removed from the national membership roll.  Post 28 is open daily M-F, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm to accept your dues.  We are setup to make this transaction safe due to COVID-19, so just call 864-253-0736, talk to the adjutant and make arrangements to pay your dues.    We are a strong organization, but to keep working for Veterans and community youth programs, membership is key.

Since our charter date 29 June 1921, our American Legion Post has welcomed veterans from all branches of our Armed Forces.  Today, we continue to welcome all military personnel who served our country during specified periods of conflict.  Joining our Post enables you to continue serving your God, Country, and Community.  Our mission and purpose is to support the Preamble of the American Legion Constitution.  You can read the Preamble on this Website under the "About the Legion" tab.  Our success depends on understanding and supporting the fight for veteran's rights; past, present, and future, and it is never ending.  While our purpose remains unchanged, our capabilities have not.  For our continued success we will attempt to support and provide first rate service to our veterans and our community.
We accept major credit cards for hall rentals, dues payments, Legion merchandise purchases, and just about anything else you may wish to purchase from the Post.  The Adjutant handles all such transactions.
